synopsis
HANNAH AND HER SISTERS is the 14th film written and directed by Woody Allen. Once again he has managed to combine deep poignancy and hilarious comedy, this time in a great family saga, alternately making the audience laugh and cry.
HANNAH AND HER SISTERS touches upon such universal subjects as life, death, love, lust, adultery, childbirth, family relations, religion, art, comedy and music. The characters are people in desperate situations -- some preposterous, some less so, some of their own making, some not -- and the humor comes from the human condition.
