Hollywood Ending

Woody Allen writes, directs and stars in his contemporary romantic comedy, also starring (in alphabetical order) George Hamilton, Tea Leoni, Debra Messing, Mark Rydell, Tiffani Thiessen and Treat Williams.

Allen stars as Val Waxman, a two-time Oscar winner turned washed-up, neurotic director in desperate need of a comeback. When it comes, Waxman finds himself backed into a comer: Work for his ex-wife Ellie (Tea Leoni) who dumped him for the studio head (Treat Williams) bankrolling the picture, or forfeit his last shot and avoid a painful reconnect. Is Val blinded by love when he opts for the reconnect? Is love blind when it comes to Ellie's staunch support? Literally and figuratively, the proof is in the picture.
